Meet Our Experienced Oxnard Doctor
An active member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, Dr. Ramirez is a second-generation obstetrician and gynecologist known for his pioneering work in uterine transplantation. He has a special focus on pelvic floor reconstruction, fertility preservation, and minimally invasive surgery, and is also a consultant for Olympus.
Dr. Ramirez graduated from high school in 1993 and was accepted to the Michael E. DeBakey surgical program at Baylor College of Medicine, where he received exposure to microsurgical procedures and heart transplants. He went on to complete four years of medical school training at the University Autonoma of Guadalajara before receiving his medical degree from New York Medical College. He started his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Texas Tech University Health Science Center before completing his training at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Center in Staten Island, New York. Here, he was nominated as chief resident and received an award for his excellence in laparoscopic technique.
